NFP is taking it out of God's hands!I didn't see that in the article.
there is quite a difference in divorce rates between people who contracept and people who practice NFP
see e.g. the scientific Lerner survey, which found less that a 1% divorce rate among NFP couples
so I think there is hard data to support the historic Trinitarian Church's teaching
Haaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha if you had any idea what my sex life is like using condoms your head would explode. Let's just say it's plenty lively.
I can't comment on anyone personally and don't wish to offend anyone's dignity since Jesus Christ died for each person
I do think that eroticism can mimic an authentic sexual life while the wood is green
but I think that only purity--the complete gift of self, including one's natural fertility--is truly nurturing and life-giving
please don't think I am in any way judging you. I wouldn't want you to know too much about my history, since I'm a great sinner

Don't get me wrong, man... when my husband is making more money and I can afford to stay home to actually mother my children instead of shipping them off to daycare to chase another paycheck, the sex we have in order to get me pregnant is going to be awesome. Of course there will, in a way, be something more to it, because we'll be doing it knowing that we're finally starting a family in addition to our usual reasons for doing it. It's not like I'm not excited for that, or something.
That still doesn't mean that our sex has less meaning now, though. Just slightly different meaning.
OK. Present it please so we may examine it.
we can all do our own prayerful research
one of the questions is: what is the divorce rate among Christians who contracept their sex or among Christians in general?
here is an article that might be helfful:
U.S. divorce rates: for various faith groups, age groups and geographical areas
and what is the divorce rate among Christians who use NFP to achieve and/or avoid pregnanacy?
If a couple use contraception, don't have kids, then divorce and go their separate ways, what harm is done? There are no kids to be dragged into things.
well since the historic Trinitarian Church--with the Reformers and Protestantism until recent decades--teaches that contraception is seriously immoral, I take it as a matter of faith that this is so.
So...basically, on this issue since you can't think for yourself you're just jumping on the bandwagon and hoping that other, greater people before you have sussed it out and hoping that it's not a horrific argument from tradition and authority.well since the historic Trinitarian Church--with the Reformers and Protestantism until recent decades--teaches that contraception is seriously immoral, I take it as a matter of faith that this is so.

So in terms of real, tangible harm, not nebulous "it's immoral just because", that's a no?

Why is it so immoral?
That´s just a pile of loaded language. Makes me wonder where you think the self is located.I think that contraception is immoral because it involves not giving one's whole self to the other
