Yes. Apostolic succession is biblical for all of the reasons you posted. For a direct reference to it see 1 Clement.
From Acts 1:21 and 22 shows that there 3 qualifications to be appointed to take Judas place .

#1 Be part of the group and having GONE with Us during ALL TIME in which the Lord Jesus came IN and went OUT among us .

#2 Also having BEGUN from the BAPTISM of John until the DAY in which He was taken UP from US .

#3 And had to an EYE WITNESS of his RESURRECTION .

OTHERWISE no one could be qualified to be appointed an APOSTLES and ONLY TWO did qualify and they were and Acts 1:23 says who they were , Justus and Matthias .

And NO ONE not meeting these 3 qualification , would never be CONSIDERED , PERIOD , is what I see .

There were only 12 Apostles. Apostolic Succession doesn't actually mean we're making more Apostles, per se, it just means that using the Apostolic Method of selecting Bishops and elders, Succession continues on - and it started with the Apostles.

Every believer must seek to walk in the same selfless devotion to Christ as those first apostles.

Selfless devotion to Christ is not exclusive in any particular person or person’s, any particular church, their traditions and/or sacraments or a succession thereof (earthly).

(exclusively) Follow the Lamb wherever He goes.

Then why did Jesus select 12 exclusively from the entirety of all disciples? He could have made all the disciples his Apostles.

...But he didn't.

What did the laying on of hands do to all the elders and Bishops the Apostles confirmed? Was it for something? Or was it something theatrical and meaningless?

...Should the laying on of hands have ended, with the death of the Apostles?
It gave them (that is, the officers of the church) a right to serve in their position, not to lord it over the congregation.

Nothing wrong with the layng on of hands but to think that it somehow confers something form the one doing the hand laying to the one receiving it is superstition IMO. The only one that can confer anything upon anyone is God.
