According to Christianity, is it possible if Hitler was truly sorry and asked for forgiveness at the time of his death to have a place in Heaven? We don't know for a hundred percent that he committed suicide or how he actually died. Then if the Jews he killed were still deniers of Christ would not have a place in Heaven. So is it possible according to Christianity that six million Jews are in Hell and one Hitler is in Heaven? Please don't let emotions do your talking.

I believe that God is merciful and compassionate, the souls of the millions who perished at the hands of the Third Reich are in the very good and capable hands of our Lord. I also believe that God is good enough that He can reconcile a Hitler.

I trust that He knows and He has what's best for all in mind.

If Hitler truly repented on the eve of his death, then I certainly believe he or any monster could be reconciled to God. Would he deserve it? Goodness no; but the truth is none of us do, and I don't want to be put in a position to condemn anyone since I am fully aware of my own unworthiness.

In Christ,

Hitler considered passion and mercy "priests drivel" and thought it was a form of weakness to the evolutionary cycle. If he was repentant surely his comrades in the bunker would have notice or said something. Yet nothing is really written regarding his last days in his bunker if he had any regret.

Most people who make death bed confessions of faith in Christ will most likely not be saved. You can't expect to be saved if your motivation is based on the fear of receiving eternal damnation in hell unless you repent and believe. Not everyone who says Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of Heaven but only those who do God's will. You would have to be drawn to faith by the love you have in God and in the understanding that within Christ is absolute truth.

Hitler's heart would have had to been transformed from that which hated most humanity into that which loves all humanity. He would have had to trust fully in Christ and entirely abandon all his evil ways. Did such a transformation happen to Hitler? I very much doubt it, but only God really knows and can wisely determine anyones salvation.

If he made an act of perfect charity before he died, then he would have gone straight to Heaven. God can forgive anything.

That's the problem. You should say according to the Bible.

According to the Bible, the unpardonable sin is a sin of knowledge. The more a person knows, the more they are in danger if they sin.

Did you know Hitler personally? Probably not.

It's all speculation. If Hitler knew God, then even if he repented, he would probably not be forgiven.

But since he murdered so many people, I doubt that God would forgive him even if he repented.

How do you know that they would not have a place in heaven if they denied Christ?

This should be in Exploring Christianity or Christian Apologetics btw.

You have got to be kidding me with this thread. No, Hitler is most certainly not in Heaven and I hope is writhing in eternal agony in the deepest circle of Hell.

About Hitler:

"A horrible sexual degenerate."-Benito Mussolini.

Further, I'm pretty sure the Soviets found the remains of Hitler and his skull of which had a bullet wound, meaning he shot himself of which the punishment for suicide is damnation.

Sidenote: to the OP google the name "Adolf Shicklgruber."

Wow. You and I are apparently speaking about different Gods.

that is not true. Imperfect contrition is still a valid form of contrition and repentence. Perfect contrition is extremely rare. In fact the councils anathematized the view that fear of hell and God nullified repentance. Because it essentially says that the fear of God and hell is a bad thing. Which is wrong. Fear of God is a good thing, of which proverbs says is the beginning of wisdom.

And what about Ghandi? He was never a Christian but a devout Hindu. Does this mean he did go to hell?

if he made a conscious effort to reject Christ, then yes.

there is a chance a non-believer might get into heaven, usually if he does not know about Christ and he has invisible ignorance. But it would be through Christ that he went to heaven, or he could have learned about Christ after his death the same way the patriarchs did who died in OT times...
