Is abortion better than the alternative?

You already have preconceived unchangeable ideas - THAT is why you are here - to try to recruit for your already declining "culture of death."
Umm...yeeeaahhhh....recruit....thats...exactly...it...

Most teens out there already think of the friend they never had, because that person was aborted, or the wife or husband, they may never have, because they were aborted.
What the frak are you talking about?

What about George Washington Carver, and Harriet Tubman, and Abraham Lincoln (who was born in a log cabin)
What about them? Great people Ill grant you, did good things for our country. The world wouldnt be un-liveable without them. Things MIGHT be different, but they'd still be here.

was trying to save you the embarassment of this "death rattle" you are making - as you must one day come face to face with the end of the "Right" to kill innocent babies.
Dont you EVER get tired of making these kinds of claims? I dont HAVE to face anything, even if abortion does become illegal one day, doesnt mean Im just gonna sit here and go "Aww damn".

And if you disagree that you were here to persuade people that it is just fine to suck the brains out of a kid - after you poke it through the back of it's skull, and it jerks from the pain - just look at the percentage of the posting on this thread - you have continually tried to dominate, bully, scare, berade, and belittle, the beliefs and believers who didn't agree with you.
Two things.

1. I knew I was going to have this many people disagree with me. Im on a Christian messageboard for frak's sake. I didnt expect a great "Hurrah" of support. Had I posted on the Pagan messageboard I go to, I probably wouldve recieved more support. Im interested in discussion, not agreement.

2. Do you have ANY basis for the fact that Im "bullying" anyone. I VERY strongly disagree with some people who have posted, but I dont look at them and say "Your a frakking idiot"

like trying to take away the right to bear arms
Actually I somewhat agree with this. But I think if you need more than a shotgun or a handgun for home defense, you need to move. The only people who need hardcore guns are police.

or churches tax-exempt status
Sounds good to me. I dont think ANY religious institution should be tax exempt unless theyre making more money than they need to operate. If a church needs, say $1000 (per fiscal term) to cover bankroll and its making $999 (per fiscal term) then fine, no taxes. But the second that church starts making $1000.01 they need to pay taxes like the rest of us. Why should churches be exempt? I dont want to have to carry the tab for a structure that isnt even of my own religion.

or maybe manipulate judges
Nah, I think judges are sometimes wrong and I dont always agree with some legal decisions, but I dont think manipulation is a good idea.

so that it doesn't matter what they people of a state say - one or a handful of judges can overrule it.
Any examples?

By the way, I don't know if anyone posted this - but the 2 women who were involved with Roe v. Wade - the law that makes it legal to perform abortions - vehemently disagree with the law and are pro-life instead of pro-death.
Any evidence?

you seem to think that it is just dandy that 30,000,000 (that's 30 million) babies (women and men) have been aborted since the law was passed in 1973. It seems pretty obvious your value of human life.
If those lives were sacrificed in order to save other's lives, then yeah, your right, I AM fine with it. If my wife was in danger of her life from a pregnancy, then I would encourage her to have an abortion but I would not FORCE it on her. And so would you.

As far as this goes, we are done. I refuse to continue this debate with you on an open thread. If you want to PM, fine. But as far as talk out here, we're done.

So then just because I was born with spina bifida, arthritis and a bad heart my mother should have killed me:o . I'm grateful even with the pain that my mother allowed me live and did not believe in abortion. I thank God that I'm alive. I can live with this pain I have for 37 Years almost 38. And I don't think that my life is any less important than anyone elses.

Actually, if you had read my previous posts you would see that your condition doesn't fit the criteria I am speaking of. Think of Tay Sachs and degenerative disorders of that nature. I also didn't suggest that the lives of children with those disorders were less important - I just said that I wouldn't ridicule a woman who chose not to bear a child with such a condition.
