And I found one for you in 1 Peter 3:21 and it says that The like figure whereunto ( even was added to the Greek text )

doth also now SAVE US .

Just asking if you believe that verse ??

dan p
Of course I do. You should read it with verse 20 (YLT): 1 pet. 3:20, 21 "who sometime disbelieved, when once the long-suffering of God did wait, in days of Noah--an ark being preparing--in which few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water;

21 also to which an antitype doth now save us--baptism, (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the question of a good conscience in regard to God,) through the rising again of Jesus Christ"

Although water baptism has no place in the current dispensation, it did in the previous dispensation when the kingdom was still preached and it will again in the future when the dispensation of the mystery ends.

And you say that you believe 1 Peter 3:21 , BUT the Greek word BAPTISM , is NOT in the Greek text !!

It is the Greek word BAPTISMA , and this Greek word is used 22 times from Matthew , through Eph 4:5 and finishes at

1peter 3:21 , so check the Greek and SEE

What iis that you n believe about 1 Peter that you believe , just curious ??

Just looking at VINE'S Greek Dictionary , you will not find a Greek IMMERSION .

But I do want to be clear about what the Greek word BAPTIZED , BAPTISM can have other meaning , like 1 Cor 10:2 and it

reads And all were BAPTIZED together unto Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA !!

So how will anyone translate the Greek word BAPTIZED // BAPTISO , not IMMERSE as Moses had thousands of Jews

under his CARE , and ready to cross the RED SEA ??

Many dispensationalist , translate , and use the WORD , IDENITFY with Moses !!

And other question is what does the Greek words CLOUD and SEA mean ??

ANOTHER example is the word GOSPEL , which means GOOD TIDING or GOOD NEWS , so explain GOSPEL ??

And in 1 Peter 3:21 the Greek BAPTISM is NOTTTTTT in the Greek TEXT , it is the Greek word BAPTISMA and used

22 times , from Matt 3 , Eph 4:5 ONE // HEIS , BAPTISMA , to 1 Peter 3:21 .

Of course Israel was "immersed" into the read sea. You don't see that? It is a "type" of baptism, saved by water.

And that not what the Greek says that all Israel was " IMMERSED " in 1 Cor 10:2 !!

It says ALL // PAS , is an ADJECTIVE , in the Nominative Case , that is pointing to the subject and in the Plural , meaning ALL

were BAPTIZED // BAPTIZO , in the AORIST TENSE and that means ALL the THOUSANDS of Jews were BAPTIZED , unto

Moses , and the Greek word for WATER // HUDOR is not in the Greek text .

Hope you Reply is not JABBERWOCKY as the Greek text ALL were Baptized UNTO , Moses , and your thoughts ?????

The concept of a "type" of something is jabberwocky to you? When Israel went through the red sea it was a TYPE of something, you're staring at the Greek and are unaware of the TYPE.

And I always use the Greek text to confirm that it true !!

The text says all were BAPTIZED UNTO , Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA !!

The question is HOW was THOUSANDS of Jews BAPTIZED // BAPTIZO into Moses in CLOUD in the SEA ??

If you do want TYPES , what is the CLOUD acutually mean ?

What does the word SEA , here mean ??

I rest my case Dan.

Aristarkos
There are many types in the bible and here is what some are called !!

# 1 Called METONYMY
# 2 Called OXYMORON
# 3 ELLIPSIS
# 4 PARABLES

I have three books with hundreds of them

Many believe that the cloud represents the SHEKINAH GLORY OF CHRIST !!

The SEA represents , People , nations , Tongues , and I also have problems with types !

This is a figure of speech.
This is also a figure of speech.
An ellipsis is an omission.
A parable is a short and simple story that teaches a religious or moral lesson.

A anti type is something that is foreshadowed by a type or symbol, as a New Testament event prefigured in the Old Testament.

Now read 1 Pet. 3:20, 21 (YLT) again:
20 who sometime disbelieved, when once the long-suffering of God did wait, in days of Noah--an ark being preparing--in which few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water; (The type)
21 also to which an antitype doth now save us--baptism (saved by water BUT →), (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the question of a good conscience in regard to God,) through the rising again of Jesus Christ,
