2.) The IRS has a law enforcement division. LEO’s are typically armed. Are you proposing that IRS LEO’s not be armed? That’s basically “Defund the police” applied to the federal government.

1.) Not all IRS agents are armed. They could get a Concealed Weapons Permit as a law abiding Citizen if they choose too and arm themselves.
2.) The IRS has a law enforcement division. They shouldn't, any issues from accounting errors should be turned over to the local law enforcement office for their help/Enforcement. LEO’s are typically armed. Really Are you proposing that IRS LEO’s not be armed? No good reason to have IRS LEO's That’s basically “Defund the police” applied to the federal government. Now that is another incorrect assumption.

It matters because a branch of the IRS can literally open fire and end people's lives, apparently. Why does that branch exist? When have they ever needed to open fire? If they have never done so, why would they need firearms in the first place? So many questions. If you don't have an answer, why respond at all?

I'm sure they do. It's also probably very uncommon. I suspect they spend most of their time doing white collar and public corruption work.
