CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

sorry, just can't go there - 666 is just a number, it does NOT represent the adversary We are not even *sure* the transaltion is correct and the number in Revelations *IS* 666. Either way - there have been numerous men, bad and good who's "number" has been 666 - and they usually use the english to figure this out which is agregious to begin with Numerals are not evil nor do they represent evil. If Jeffery Dommer's house number was 555 would that make all houses with 555 suspect and fearful?? Of course not
I'd wager that there are numerous times every day when the number of members on the forum are 666 and the number of posts changes rapidly every day so that number also hits some combination of 666 on a regular basis
I know of folks who have petitioned the government to change their SS # because it contained 666, and same with license plates and the like. Some folks would not buy a house whose street number is 666.
I just can't see the point
