CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I can't wait. I have big hopes for this one. Easily the best thing Marvel has done with it's movies in the last few years. Lets hope its sequels don't go down a Spider-Man or X-Men path.

I liked all the X-Men movies..
But I HATED all the Spiderman movies..even the first one.

Early reviews said that it's not as good as Iron Man 1 (apparently like Spider-Man 3, this movie has more than one villain), but it's still a pretty great superhero movie. I'll have to see what more people say once it is released, as well as watch it myself.

Just as good as the first (which was phenomenal itself).
Loved seeing Sam Jackson as Nick Fury in a bit more of a role. Robert Downey gave an astounding performance as usual (love his recent movies like Iron Man 1 and Sherlock Holmes).
And if anyone stayed till after the credits there was a nice treat toward one of the upcoming Marvel Movies!

Oh YES! My fiance' has hundreds of comics and such, so I've learned to ALWAYS stay til after the credits! We also went to the midnight showing..it was a great atmosphere..no little kids making noise, it was all fans who were deady silent. I actually liked it a little better than the first..there was more that went on, IMO. The first one seemed more like an origins type of movie, whereas this had more of a story to me...for me anyways.

I saw it earlier this afternoon at a 1:30 showing (to beat all the high schoolers and kiddies), and I really enjoyed it. I will most likely see it again.
Don Cheadle was a great James Rhodes/War Machine, I honestly think he should have been this character from the get go.
I also loved the TWO references to two other popular Avengers (one after the credits, one mid movie).

I waited till after the credits cause a friend said I should, it totally wasn't worth it. Esp since they played some horrible show tunes 40's music and not War Machine or something more appropriate.

I was also wondering why they played that music. I'm not that big of a fan..or a fan at all, of the next movie that they gave the clue for, but everyone else was clapping and whatnot.

I thought it was basically coming from the old videos his dad had made. Which were in turn a play off of old Walt Disney videos about Epcot and the World of Tomorrow, etc.
Just that sort of music you expect to hear from those sorts of old clips - thought it was kinda funny.

I found that music at the end utterly histerical, I'm glad they through that in. It made the wait for the post-credits scene much more fun.

I loved this movie. Loved it, loved it, loved it. The first Iron Man was phenominal and the second one was just as good. I love how they continued to show the Tony Stark that loves to build things and put things together.
And I have to say, I really like Don Cheadle as Rhodey. I thought he did a great job. Definately will be seeing it again!

Saw it last night, but the people working at the theater rushed us out because they messed up on the timing and the next show was about to start. Can someone PM me what happened after the credits. I tried to stay, but they made us leave before we could see and I don't know if I'll get the chance to see it again.
Edit: Was able to watch it on YouTube. Now I'm all excited. And I have to get up early in the morning for mother's day. Pssssh.
Gah! Now I HAVE to go see it again. I really wish they didn't make us leave. I would of complained, but I was too happy about actually seeing the movie in the first place.
