  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is anyone else interested? My brother and I pre-ordered them from Best Buy, but we won't know until later today if they'll even have enough to fill the pre-orders.

I knew a lot of people would want them, but I didn't realize that it was going to be insane. Apparently people have been camping out since last Friday. I don't want it that bad, lol.

I would probably have a smart phone if they didn't gouge you with the mandatory data plan in addition to the phone plan.

So, I still have my Razr from 2007 :)

I see your point. Most of the features that I like so much require the use of data though, and I don't mind paying for it as long as it's something that I use. AT&T changed their data plan for the new iPhone, and I don't even think that you can get unlimited before. When I got mine, that was the only option. My unlimited plan is the same price as the 2GB plan now though, so I'm definitely not complaining. I'm glad I already have mine in place.

I love my iPhone, sadly its the old 3G and can't upgrade anytime soon, but one thing I found out moving to Texas was that you can get a new contract with an out of state move without getting hit with breaking contract so hoping when I get a new contract later this year I'll be able to get the iPhone 4.

I would be if I had the money to spare on stuff like that. :234:

But I'm poor and can't even afford to pay my bills, let alone add on another one.... :sorry:

I'm still between jobs, so I wouldn't be spending the money myself either. My brother insisted that I have one of the new ones, so it's a gift from him. I wouldn't have gotten it if it would change my bill either, but since I already have an iPhone, my bill will be the same as it already is.

I buy him things all the time, so I think it kind of ends up being sort of a trade-off, lol. It was generous of him though. :)

I recommend ditching your cell service entirely. It's incredibly peaceful. :D

I could never.

I'm still cruising on the 3G and I'll just wait until the second or third generation is released. It's the same with the iPad: it's neat but there's not enough for me to justify buying it yet. Give them a year to work out the bugs and add new features and then it'll be awesome.

I did that! For two years. I used to be a textaholic, but once I got rid of my cellphone, I learned that I can live without it. I bought a prepaid phone for emergencies and when I moved back home, I noticed that my mom called me a lot for stuff regarding my brother. To pick him up from school or practice if she couldn't, so I realized it would be better to get a phone plan again. I went with Sprint. Got a free phone (after rebate), I have a set plan with unlimited talk, text and data (no roaming fees!) and I'm really happy with it.

But I agree D, it was a very peaceful two years. I think once I'm out of this house and in my own place, I can get a landline and be happy with that. Which would be perfect timing because I'm going to be in school for the next two years while I live with my family and my contract should be up when I'm ready to move out.
