I am from IA...and haven't posted for a while. I started school at Hamilton College here in Cedar Rapids on Tuesdays & Thursdays July 12th...It's going ok so far...not that hard thank goodness.

I hope to be on speaking terms with all of you because somebody at CF dislikes me enough to write this:

Hey! Sorry haven't been here much. Adam is still a bit down and out - still taking the powerful pain pills. He's been cooped up in the house all week, I'm going to try to get him out a little.

Work has been... crazy. Remember when I started this job, and we were doing fen phen, and I had another paralegal and 4 law clerks helping me? Yea, well, now we are doing Vioxx, there are 100 more cases, and the only one I have helping me is me. My boss is in the process of hiring 1 law clerk, but that clerk will only be helping me on certain projects. I've gotten involved with a service that orders my medical records for me, but I just found out they outsource much of their work to India, which bothers me. The problem is that no other service does the little extras I need. AACK! Also, the firm moved to another floor, and we've moved with them, so I'm with the rest of the office again, which means little to no privacy anymore.

Thursday, he gave me a gift certificate to the only 5-star restaurant in St. Louis, Tony's (http://www.saucecafe.com/tonys/index.html). It was more than enough to get the full 5-course experience, plus a bottle of wine. I've never been there.

He said it was because we got paid finally on a difficult case, but I think he's trying to bribe me.

Do you and your boss generally get along?


I went to go get my hair colored this morning. I wanted to go a little bit darker. In the late spring I got blonde streaks put in my hair, but the color rubbed off onto the rest fo my hair - I don't look good as a blonde.

Of course, the fact that I noticed quite a few more gray hairs on my birthday also motivated me to get it dyed.
