Intruducing myself

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew. I’m glad I found this cool site! I’m currently a nondenominational Christian missionary serving nine months on the mission field as a mission intern in Cambodia. Im learning so many amazing things about being a missionary and am confirming more and more that this is my calling! I’m 26 years old and come from a small town known as Oakdale California. My intern directors are from Modesto which is about 20 mins away. I’m looking forward to making new friends and sharing my experiences on the mission field. Thanks for letting me introduce myself!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I do like praise and worship music! I will have to check that out! I appreciate the tip back home I lived a pretty sheltered life (my dad was abusive with me physically until I moved into my grandmas house at 18) so without her here, I’m starting to really grow up and start doing things for myself here in Cambodia, for instance cooking... A regret that I have is that I didn’t even realize how I was taking advantage of my grandmother by her spoiling me after leaving the situation with my dad. I’m learning so many amazing skills that will help further me in the mission field.

It sounds as if you are doing an awful lot of maturing while you are also serving other people and helping them.

Thank you for the welcoming message! Yes! I sure am doing a lot of maturing. I’m also 2 years sober from alchohol! God is so amazing! Sometimes God uses the ones that would be least expected to do great things that gives me so much hope and peace!
