Hi -

My name is Karen, and I am 43. I am American (from California), but have lived in England for the past 14 years. My husband is British, and my two kids (aged 9 and 7) have dual citizenship. I have found it difficult living so far away from my large, loud, affectionate Californian family, but since I found Jesus (6 1/2 years ago), of course, my outlook on life has change so much, so the homesickness is usually not too bad. Actually, I have grown very fond of England!

I am a research technician, part-time, for the University of Liverpool in the Veterinary Science department. I enjoy it, but my main enjoyment comes from serving God, and being with the hubby and kids (and kitten, hampster, and goldfish!).

My ministry at the moment is in the Youth club at church; the kids there are aged 9-14. I also run the Fairtrade stall at church. After a lot of soul-searching and encouragement from others, I am now thinking about doing ordination training.

I love CF; the only problem is that it is so addictive!

I too stumbled across this forum too and think it is a great idea.....I turned 40 back in March and always said I was gonna be "like fine wine better with time"
and in a biblical since I have been wandering in the wilderness for 40 yrs and it's time to go on into the promise land....and yanno, God has done some great things this year in me

My name is Tammy, I am a SAHWife and Mom and live in Upstate, South Carolina and have been married to my hubby Greg almost 15yrs (this Nov.) We have two sons, Chase 13 and Payton 3.
We have a cat named little grey and a mouse named Maverick and had a beta fish named Beethoveen until a couple of days ago when he jumped right down the sink

I love talking about the Lord and what he is doing and showing the body of Christ. I look forward to getting to know you all (((hugs)))

Hi, I'm Dawn.

Some of you know me a little, some not so much.

Born in MN, but raised throughout the mid-west, and am still a midwesterner. (I won't get detailed with personal info, because I have kids, and you never know what FUHREEK is scoping us on the internet, and could become a threat.)

I am a happily married mother of three plus one chocolate lab, and mostly a home-maker (or otherwise known as a life-style coordinator), though that status is slowly changing as I am dabbling with working part-time out of our home with my hubbies business. We are taking it slow, as our marriage is the priority, and want to be sure that working together is healthy for our relationship since we are both so very type AAAAAAAAAA!

I also teach 4th grade Sunday school, work with my husband guiding engaged couples about the sacredness of marriage, am a Girl Scout leader for both the Brownies and Jr. Girl Scouts, and have a University degree in Community Health Education...that I haven't used professionally in about 8 years, but seem to use it every day in family life.

I ejoy travel, the outdoors (but ironically HATE bugs cuz they LOVE me), cooking, dabble in doing artwork, riding horses when I can (but no longer own), skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, and cheering on my great huntsman of a husband (I cook wild game very well...and believe you should eat what you kill), gardening, doing yoga and lifting weights now and then. Also, you can usually find me dancing and singing terribly to all kinds of music, and I am a big contemporary Christian music fan. (KLOV is on my radio daily).

I live with an "Embrace the world and life!" view and hope my kids will reflect that too as they grow older. I hope they will see that even with the bad out there, God has given us so many more gifts to enjoy and share.

I call myself "Faithmom", because I find myself falling back on "thy will be done" from our Lord's prayer more and more as I meet life's challenges.

I love this website for the great people who are on here just waiting to give Christ's love to each other and anyone else trying to find Christ. And besides....it's just so much fun!

hoooo, I think I stumbled into the Fab 40's about 6 months ago, and I love it here!

I'm Lori, and lived in Oregon since I was 12.5 years old, was raised a Navy brat til my mom divorced before that. I was born with a moderate hearing loss, but lost more due to measles as a tot. Been wearing a heariing aid since I was two.

I've worked for the State of Oregon for 21 years and enjoy the job security that enabled me to have a house and a car. I just moved to a one story house, due to arthritis in both knees, and now I'm slowly adjusting to life in a different neighborhood.

I sew and serge a lot (right now my sewing room is a MESS) and I do scrapbooks, stamping, crafts, cross-stitch (my siggy is linked to pics in the gallery!), and I love to travel and I'm definitely a computer bum! And very addicted to playing Mahjongg...!

And I'm a PURPLE FREAK!!!
