I know I have registered several years ago, but apparently I was busy with other stuff so I just registered and never posted anything. I actually tried to register today and it told me ``the email address already exists" and that gave me a clue to reset a password.
Well, now that I finally ready to ``actively" participate, let me introduce myself:
I am originally from Russia. I was born Jewish. I came to Christ, completely on my own, when I was 22. But I continue to observe Jewish practices, so I am Messianic. I am also a theoretical physicist: always wanted to be one ever since I was 9. So trying to reconcile Christianity+Judaism+Science is totally down my alley.
While I consider myself Messianic, I been going to other sabbaterian groups, particularly Seventh Day Adventists and United Church of God. That is because the fact that they keep Sabbath without pretending to be Jewish makes it seem sincere. But then again I been to some Messianic churches too that make it a point to follow the Bible rather than traditions of men. I find it equally sincere. So I like to alternate between churches. Which probably was a mistake since I didn't get a chance to really plant my roots in any specific church.
On a different end of a spectrum, sometimes I was wondering whether I could glean any insignts by talking to Orthodox and Catholics, since, unlike Protestants, they have church fathers at their disposal. Never really done that, because I know how vast majority of church fathers are against Jewish roots stuff. Still would be interesting.
Looking through these forums how you are trying to represent all those different denominations makes me want to participate since I want to try to talk about things through all those different perspectives.
