  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi everyone! I am new to this whole forum thing but I figured I would give it a try! So I was a former college athlete (and student of course) and I went to a Christian University. I was never a so-called "bible thumper" growing up but I did have a faith established to a certain extent. At the University I went to, we had to go to 2-3 weekly chapels and this is where I really started being able to dive deeper into my faith. I know this sounds a little bad considering I was essentially forced to go to church and participate in sermons, however, I really think it changed me for the better. Flash forward to the present day, I am back in school working on getting a new degree and find myself lacking time or rather a devotion, to go to church every week. I would love to pick back up again at attending church weekly but I find it so hard for myself to find a church where I really feel at home in a sense. Because I have been struggling with this recently I have been starting to read new Christian books to try to feed my mind with what I am missing and I wanted to recommend this one book called "Forgiving What You Can't Forget". It is on Amazon as an audiobook, however, I found a little loophole here...They give you a free trial so you can check it out and if you don't end up liking it, it is basically no harm no foul!

I will share the link below for anyone who is interested :) also, I would love to hear some suggestions on what I should maybe try doing to find the best church for me!

Here is the link to the book!
