I have a few agnostic friends in real life. We get along just fine and have had some really good conversations about religion. Openness and willing to hear each other out really goes a long way, even if we disagree in the end.

To be honest I have never felt "at home" in Messianic Synagogues, they just did not work for me. That could be because the really "good" ones are few and far between. When I was on that path I felt much more comfortable between a Reform congregation and Chebad house in my area, both were very welcoming and understanding. You can still attend a mainstream synagogue and hold messianic beliefs, IMO.
Nice to hear. To be honest, if you talked to your agnostic friends and the conversation was interesting, its no doubt they have some belief in God or some religious related issues, they just dont like to think its 100% true and confirmed, because the whole Old Testament and New testament could have been written by normal human beings, not by God. But some parts of whats written in the scriptures, could be a message by God in some way, so it depends how you look at things, I guess. There arent many Christians in Israel and honestly not many religious people around the city I live at in Israel, so I dont have irl people to talk to about religious issues, or ask religious questions like I did here.

Overall I'm glad I joined even if I havent become a very religious person, I'm still interested in the subject and I'm also glad I got answers to my questions. Being agnostic for me is the best decision I made in my life, it means I dont jump to any conclusions about anything, I stay in a neutral position when it comes to religions. I was just really curious about Jesus and all that, because Jews in Israel here dont say he didnt exist, they just express their lack of belief in him and the whole "Jesus is the messiah" thing as something stupid Christians made up, which is sad to hear in a way.

Chabad is everywhere in Israel, so presumably they are in your town too. I would contact them. They are warm and welcoming and available to answer your questions.

To be honest my best friend leans more Deist than Agnostic, so it makes for an easier starting point in conversations. I think it is natural, and good, to ask questions to and to not just take everything at face value and dive in 100%. Closing off our minds is not wise, even if we don't agree with someone in the end, we should be able to understand their position and see how they arrived there - and respect them for that.

I am glad that you are here with us, feel encouraged to reach out if there is anything I can do for you. If you want we can adjust your "Faith Label" to "Agnostic" or "Seeker", if you think that fits your beliefs better.

Honestly I don't understand when people outright dismiss something without looking into it a little more. Even if one does not believe Jesus to be the messiah, there are some really good reasons we believe that he is, reasons that do square up with the Jewish scriptures and prophesies about who the Messiah is or is supposed to be.

Yes please, change mine to Agnostic please if you can do that. Can you do that now?

Are there forums available only to Catholics / Protestants? I dont belong to these groups, but on the other hand I still wanted to be able to visit their forums, to read atleast, not necessarily participate in their discussions.

In all honesty, to get to the heart of the truth, it is best to have this conversation with God Himself. Follow Him and His leading you into all truth. Then it all will make sense. Everything on earth is in a verbal battle between truth and fiction with no guidance other than God Himself. Put your finger on Rev 3:20 and ask for that one-on-one meeting. Prepare yourself by learning about all those who have been in His Presence, so that you can better understand what you will experience, and what you will need to meet Him.

Read about Moses' encounter, and see what is required to be in His Presence, study the sanctuary and the steps it takes to come into the Most Holy. Read about Isaiah, when he encountered God. There are many more stories of those in scripture who met God and lived to tell about it. It will help you understand, that He does exist, and He will meet you if you seek Him with all your heart. Well worth the spiritual trip.

He is truly Most Holy. That is not some title placed on objects in temples or churches, it is His very Presence. Sin can not exist in His Presence, it must be covered by His Blood. Sin will melt like candle wax in the presence of heat. If sin is on or in you, and you are unprepared to separate yourself from identifying with sin, you will find yourself taken away by that very sin. That is why the forgiveness of sins is so important. It doesn't matter if the sin is a "little" sin or a "secret" sin, it is exposed before God. When the Lord presents a sin before your mind, ask Him to forgive you for it, to take it away from your mind, all the roots, branches, and seeds of it. May He blot the sins from your Book of Life, Cast them from your mind and heart, and give you a new heart. May He explain sins the way He sees them so that you can better understand the odious wicked sin in its true light so that you abhor it too. I know some sins are especially sticky to your soul. It will take much prayer and effort to be an overcomer with them. Satan knows when he is losing you and will come full blast, with serious temptations, serious bombardments of doubt, and holding onto God during this storm is the only way you are going to get through this. It is worth it.

I will be praying for you.
