  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey everyone! I've always wanted to adopt a pet but never seemed to do it. Until today. I found Sprinkles (used to be Xun) and I've adopted him. He's been so good, but then again, he is a little older. :)

Now I have some food but I don't have play things or anything. I'm a novice at pets, could someone come and give me some tips? Thanks! Oh and if you want to play with Sprinkles, I am sure he'd love some attention. Well, more than I'm giving him now... :p

Welcome Sprinkles. I bought toys when I adopted Mishka, but I found she didn't need them because everyone plays with her. The more posts you have the more exposed your pet will be and the more attention he'll get. As long as you feed him regularly, he will be just fine. That's the only pet maintenance I have to do really.

:amen: I bought toys in the beginning, but didn't need them for my pet since I posted in the pets who need to be petted thread and kept him well fed. Then when I took in poor little Lilly, she was in such bad shape that to get her pleasure/happiness up to par, I gave her some toys (and health injections and food and milk and lots/lots/lots of petting from others). Lily, by the way, is still available for adoption. If I don't adopt her out within the next couple/days I'll have to put her in petcare since Lil Miss Magic is coming back. I suppose I'll have to put Lil Miss Magic and Lily up for adoption and pray very hard that they go to good homes. :crosseo:

Thanks guys  You're all so nice and welcoming! Thankyou for playing with Sprinkles!

EDIT: How do you increase your pet's happiness? I can increase it's heath and pleasure, but can't find anything to make it happier. Is it only 100% happy when it is 100% healthy, 0% hungry and 100% pleasured?

You may need an injection for that. Check the items in the store and see what exactly increases happiness.

Welcome Sprinkles! I adopted Lenore also. She used to be named Maxie. Adoption is GOOD!

Happiness is a function of health, hunger and pleasure. You can't directly affect happiness, but feeding and playing with your pet will keep happiness high.

Pets have health problems when they aren't fed for several days, and it takes both medicine and food to get the health back to 100%.

Hope this helps!
