Hi everyone,
Just a quick introduction.
I have found Jesus after living a Secular life for most of my 36 years on the planet. I was born Roman Catholic, but drifted out of faith for the most part (if I ever truly had any to be honest) due to lack of exposure, as a child/teenager I did not go to church, never read passages from the bible, my parents were Christian in name only and school offered little guidance.
I never stopped believing in God, just could not ascribe as to what God was. Only in the last 3 months have I found Jesus Christ. I think simply reading the bible really opened my heart to something amazing, I can't even put in to words the experience of reading the bible. I've always been grateful to God for all that I have been blessed with, but the way to show that is through faith in Jesus Christ and I am certainly trying to live in line with the teachings of our Lord. I do slip up, pretty much every day but I do call on God to forgive me and do try in the knowledge that I will never be 100% perfection, that is for God, but I can try day-by-day to simply be a better person.
I decided to join this forum as I enjoy reading the bible but wanted to seek guidance on some parts and learn new elements, as well as speak to Christians as I know of none I can speak to personally (I live in a town on the outskirts of South East London, UK that I would not consider having a huge Christian presence).
