Has anyone tried it?

My husband went to the urologist the other day and they finally explained the results of his 2 sperm analysis. They said that about half are good little swimmers and the other half are either dead or just plain slow. They mentioned the best thing to do would probably be IUI. I did some research and it sounds pretty simple and painless. The results seem pretty good as well. It also helps that my insurance will pick up up to 6 treatments. We would only have to pay for my husband's portion.

So, I guess what I am asking is have you done it and if you have, what kind of success did you have? If you haven't done it, what are your thoughts on IUI?

Have you researched other ways to try and increase your husbands sperm count. I read an article today which said that certain foods can increase sperm count.

we did IVF the first time but had a second one naturally afterwards (so beware...LOL).
the IVF was a bit painfull for my wife (the taking out of the egg) but we had good doctors.
Also you want to try and relax. Stress and anxiety contributes a lot (job, house, people around you, and also the stress or frustration of not getting pregnant). It is like falling in love : when you go out looking for it you wont find it....

I had them done many times ask away....

well first let me say will you be taking fertility drugs? we did, injectables, you get a higher rate like that but its one mth on 1 mth off, but that could have changed it has been a while could have newer drugs, it took about 3 tries the 1st times, which resulted in twin girls, the we decided when they were 10 mths to try again we were older so it took the 1st time.....

if you have any more question please feel free to ask....my husband had a low sperm count also, did u have a laposcopy(sp)?
