Intimacy with Yahweh

Psalms 18:1

I love you, oh LORD, my strength!

How does one cultivate intimacy with the Creator, the Redeemer, the Sustainer?

It is really simple if we think about it. How does anyone cultivate intimacy with someone on earth?

Spending time with them
Talking with them
Getting to know them
Not trying to offend them by your actions
Believing in them (Faithfulness)
Thinking about them
Yearning and desiring them

It is the same with God.

So if you have ever found yourself wanting more but unsure how to do so, take heart your answer lies within yourself.

Confess to God that you are not enough on your own. Ask him through His Holy Spirit to reveal himself to you and then make like Jacob as he wrestled with the angel...

I will NOT let go of you until you bless me!

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek His face continually!

It will take time, no true relationship blossoms overnight. But if we persevere we will come to know and love Him who loves us!
