Yes.. we have something in common. Do you know sign language well? I do but not as much as I used to.

Yeah.. I want those computerized hearing aids....

No, I dont' know sign Jim. I just lost my hearing about 2 1/2 years ago. I was diagnosed with ottosclerosis (sp?) and went from about 55% hearing to about 20% in 2 years. I wear digital bte's and they cost me about $3000.00

I am still adjusting to hearing loss. It's the pits really, but I trust that God has a purpose in it and I am just trying to be faithful through it

I am pretty good at lip reading though

You will get used to adjusting and one day, you will be thankful that you are hard of hearing. I love being hearing impaired because whenever I am in a noisy place... I simply turn off my hearingaids. I am thankful that I am hard of hearing. I am about 60% loss on my right and 40% on my left. I am wearing the conventional BTEs which is about $800 a piece.

Now that I have MS... it appears to be affecting my hearing. I am losing my hearing alittle faster now which is why I need better hearing aids.

Actually, I am the Accounting and Operations Manager for a National Graphic Arts company that deals primarily with the Hollywood Entertainment Industry. I'm not a housewife.
