I became a licensed Emergency Medical Technician in less than a month of turning 18. (The state said I couldn't get the license until I turned 18). But in my whole career the total that I earned was $200 working in that field.

You ohly made $200 being an EMT? My brother in law is an EMT and he makes a heck of a lot more than that. You should try to get a job elsewhere. They usually pay a lot better than that. He's always applying with different Fire Departments all over the country. (He just started in the field about a year ago) It's a noble occupation. And well worth the effort to find your nitch. :)

FFAB: I want to learn how to scuba dive. I've never done it. But, have always wanted to.

It would be fun to see the underwater world firsthand, but I can't, I'm a bit too claustrophobic. My big accomplishment was actually breathing through a snorkel this past summer in Mexico. It was a beautiful laggoon, but I could never swim with my snorkel completely under the water. However, the rest of my family got to go scuba diving.

FFAM I've been digging for my own ceramic clay in the mountains of Bolivia.

Really...that sounds like fun. I've never been to Bolivia. What's it like there?

It's a beautiful country from the Andes to the jungle. My experience was mostly in the Andean region, the altiplano and the high jungle areas. It's hard to answer a question like that quickly. What made Bolivia special for both my husband and I was it's deeply rooted pride in it's indigenous past and present. La Paz wasn't lost in trying to be as western as possible and even the upper class held onto thier Andean roots. The folk wisdom and Andean religion was woven into even the most modern and educated lives, even more in the art and even into Catholicism. The Bolivian congress even had one or two elected Aymaran (the dominant indigenous group) members. That was rare for a Latin American country. (But it's happening a bit more now)

FFAM - I am working on making my own personalized Anglican rosary.
