We have a terrier x staffy. She is three years old and we rescued her from the Dogs home in April. She warmed to us very quickly and it just felt right. She is beautiful and it is hard to understand why anyone would abandon her.

For money, I figure you mean 'work', so nope, not in a long, long time (Severely disabled, don't get $ for that either), but it's cool; I am a Christian homemaker (no tee vee, no chocolate bon-bons, but I did make, from scratch, some chocolate chip banana bars for my husband to have, startng tonight when he gets home from his (for pay) job.

Do you have a garden, could just be on your window sill or much larger?

P.S. One part, I know it seems small, of my severe disable 'list' is some NEED to use parentheses and then almost never remembering to actually close the so-called parenthetic thought. I don't know why except I did get ADD added to my long list of physical and other 'diagnoses'.

Waking up to a note my husband left before he went to work. It said, 'You are gorgeous, I love you dearly!'

And I didn't even know why he wrote it. Later, when he got home, he said 'I just thought about you and that's what I thought, so I wrote it before leaving.'

That started off the day nicely.

(MadeInHisImage: Nice to have any garden at all; we have a small balcony we use as a hummingbird sanctuary and the plants in containers aren't doing too well with the heat and humidity, may not make it through the rest of this hot spell, but they've made the hummingbirds very happy, and we've enjoyed watching them, will replace as we can afford it, when we can)

No. We have been using a wood heater at night time, but today was actually a glimmer of warmer days to come - hopefully not too far away....

I don't watch tee vee at all, and why: I find what I need and enjoy via this Forum, the Bible (of course), praise music (youtube listening and then iTune buying), and books/books/books, speaking of which:

I am an avid reader; have been since I was 10; used to teach English, poetry workshops, write professionally, et cetera.

I'm feeling ill, lately, so the books I have on-hand, plan to read, well, it may be another little bit but next is finishing The Intolerance of Tolerance; then rereading parts of Blaise Pascal's Pensees (title, Christianity for Modern Pagans, edited by Peter Kreeft), and The Dead Sea Scrolls, a New Translation...

yes I did get vaccinated and I got chicken pox when I was in 4th or 5th grade.

yes, but it didn't work too well because I was awake most of the time I was supposed to be "out"

Gosh, I'd have to look but I think it was just about two weeks ago, certainly not more than a month, or I am fairly certain not longer than that.
