No, I haven't. I used to want to, but now I'm more risk averse and, more importantly, my insurance gives a lot less coverage, so no longer want to.

Do you prefer air travel to ground travel and why?

Yes, for trips exceeding 4 hours of ground travel. Because I can do whatever I want on the plane but am busy driving on the ground.

If given the chance, would you ride the space shuttle to the space station?

I would, now that would be an adventure!!

I enjoy hiking but I perfer level ground to the mountains.

How long a summer vacation do you get?

As long as I want. I get about 5 weeks vacation per year but normally don't take them all at once.

Do you ever take a winter vacation?

I took off a week in October 2004 but not since. Not more than the usual (Christmas, New Year's, etc.)

Do you like alcoholic drinks and if so, what is your favorite?

I hardly drink at all anymore. Maybe once a year to bring in the New Year I'll have one drink. When I was in my twenties, my favorite drink was screwdrivers (orange juice and absolute vodka). Dry white or red wine is good with dinner.
