  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

here is one philosophy i have read from a book and share it with you guys...it is quite long...:

In you point of view, is one grain of salt which weighs 1 microgram big or small? You think it is small? Think again...

One grain of salt contains ten to the power of 16 atoms. Meaning there are ten sillions atom in a grain of salt. Among these ten zillion atoms, half are chloride and the other half are sodium. Chloride is a deadly poisonnous gas which was used as a chemical weapon during the World Wars. Sodium is a corrosive metal which starts burning when in contact with water. However, when these ttwo lethal elements combine together, they become a stable and safe compund call sodium chloride -- table salt...

Now tell me again, is one grain of salt big or small?

Same with you, you think you are small? think again

A grain of salt is small in reference to humans, because it is so tiny in our hands and causes us to squint. Humans are small in reference to African elephants, blue whales, mountains, the ocean, the Pentagon, and Red Wood trees. What the elements of salt, and whether salt is big or small (and in reference to what), has to do with each other, you'll have to explain.

PS: Are you from Singapore? I hear it's a great country, and it's even richer and more developed than the United States. What is it like?

I think they mean (correct me if im wrong) that even though one person is small when compared to the size of humanity and how small we are in comparison with the world, we are very powerful, im not sure why they used salt but whatever. We can still do great things, people although small can do big things. I hope thats what they meant.

i m not sure about the 'richer and more developed' thing, but Singapore is indeed considered quite developed...about the rich part...our unemployment rate is getting higher...but our government is more efficient and 'corruption-free' when compared to other countries i think...
