I thought of you when I first saw this story 
My perspective is stuff like this severely weakens the Catholic church. In order for them to fit the role of the beast of revelations it seems like they need to be nearly all-powerful. How does a damaging global scandal like make that more likely?

There is overwhelming historical and prophetic evidence that proves beyond a resonable doubt that the papacy is the beast and antichrist.

Looks like the Catholic Church and the Pope are in for another big round of scandal. I still think it is pretty obvious that this weakens them and makes them far less likely to be some all-powerful beast. How exactly are they gonna force anyone to worship anything when they are a global joke?

There's a long history of scandal in the Catholic church that hasn't stopped them to date. Yet people still cling on to the beliefs held within the system.
