I'm sorry I've been away for awhile. I'm still interested in becoming a SDA. I met with a SDA pastor. He gave me some books to read and we spoke for awhile. He made a pretty convincing argument concerning Sabbath keeping. But the reading material he gave me by Ellen White I found to be rather dry. I find the Latter-day Saint reading materials much more interesting.

Really?! I have found Ellen Whites writings to be very easy to read... there's a reason the Great Controversy is one of the most widely read religious books ever written.

Now EG Waggoner on the other hand.... lol

Hi, you can go to the SDA general conference site to find a church close to you. The chances are there are probably several churches near by...depends on where you are. Visit a few of them to see which you like more. Stick with the one where the people fellowship with you and show the love of Christ.

Once upon a time many years ago I was like you and just started visiting the SDA church. So I would suggest you take the grocery store approach: take what you need for the time being and leave what you don't need for later.

Like you, I didn't care about Ellen White and what she had to write and the 1844 stuff. But as I studied more and understand more, the abstract things took on color, have meanings.

So my advice to you is this: study the bible and be faithful to what God has revealed to you and He will lead you to all truths in due season.
