Honestly, I doubt you're going to find anything. The very nature of text adventures makes it almost impossible to do it anyway other than some coding. Now, you can find programs that make this programming much much easier. The one that I've used is TADS 3.

If you want to learn to create text adventures, you probably should learn some basic programming. It's just a good skill to have.

So not what you were looking for? Only thing I know of that works well. Other than that, it seems to be pretty much MUD code base to get anything done. There are a lot of trainer/helper programs for existing MUD code bases (e.g. ROM) that will curve the need to learn programming. Of course that is multi-player and requires a server and still requires basic knowledge of using a compiler and light shell scripting. I used to run a small MUD, was lots of fun, though a lot of work, and C programming was my motivation. I've been thinking of writing one in C++, but more of a MUSH and based off of the book 'MUD Game Programming'. Just for getting to know C++ better regarding network programming.
