How about an irrational person? It's a well known hypothesis that someone can't be rationalised out of a position they didn't rationalise themselves into. AoS certainly fits that persona. Though, he also fits the 'hit-and-run' genus of troll...

Right, those are the two options that arise from what I said.

The arguments are so bad that they either appear from an entirely irrational mind, or a rational mind that is trolling.

I believe that is just a restatement of poe's law though.

I am sure someone who sincerely disliked creationists might find the time and the effort to make them look worse by making arguments so poor that it makes even their poor positions on things look poorer.

With all due respect to both you and the OP, I'm not going to derail this thread onto the philosophical undergrowth of science.

But you were willing to use that "philosophical undergrowth" to try to undermine Agonace's position. I'm pointing out that your argument against Agonaces is not a legitimate argument. You should drop "paradigm shift" like you would any falsified scientific theory. Kuhn made an attempt to describe how science works, just like phlogiston chemists made an attempt to explain combustion. Like phlogiston, Kuhn's attempt was a failure.
