As a matter of public policy, Discovery Institute opposes any effort to require the teaching of intelligent design by school districts or state boards of education.
They are only saying that after they had their hats handed to them in a court of law.
This is lifted from the Wedge Document:
Just to stress, "pursue possible legal assistance in response to resistance to the integration of designer theory into public school science curricula.
Attempts to mandate teaching about intelligent design only politicize the theory and will hinder fair and open discussion of the merits of the theory among scholars and within the scientific community.
There is no ID theory, no one is working one, and they had no intention of every constructing one. ID is a scam to get theological beliefs taught in public schools.
