For the purpose of the discussion, lets agree evolution is false. OK? Now thats out of the way, whaddya got to suggest ID is the right answer?

Ok, so humans can't devise DNA on their own. Great. No one claims that DNA was devised by a human. There are plenty of things that man is incapable of doing that still have natural explanations: plate tectonics, for one.

idscience has already brought up DNA, claiming that it represents a complex pattern (aka language), and therefore must be designed. And yet, he has also said that not all patterns are designed (i.e. snowflakes, sand ripples). So pattern alone is not enough to determine if something is designed by his own definition.

R/DNA is not a "language" or "code," but organic nucleotides that follow the laws of chemistry.

DNA requires a designer... I hear this one a lot...

DNA is NOT a "language" or "code". Those things assign a symbolic value to every piece of code so that it makes sense. Example: 1 = A, 2 = B, 3 = C, and so on...

There is no symbolic way to interpret DNA... The physical properties of the DNA, not any arbitrary meanings, determine how they act.

A property of language is that any word can refer to any object.

That is not true in genetics. The genetic code for proteins could be changed, but if that happened, it would change the meaning of ALL sequences that code for proteins, and it could not create some new meaning... Genetics is not a true language and therefore doesn't require an intelligent designer to interpret it's meaning.

Google is your friend... I also saw a Science Channel program about it.

Basically we observe it by measuring the amount of missing matter that would be needed to explain a observed phenomena... The remainder is then called "dark matter".

We've seen this through a telescope... Now if you trying to assert that it requires as much faith to believe in dark matter as it does to believe in God, then please show me God through a telescope.

I;m asking, repeatedly, one of the ID proponents to provide some actual evidence of ID, something that isn't just "well evolution is wrong" or "well Ican't believe something this complex happened without outside design".
