• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

have you tried to go to the county mental health department? you may qualify for free or reduced care... or be refered onto services that will benefit you. important: ask every person you are sent to (or phone) for referrals. the usa has lots of programs, it's just a matter of getting connected. xo dee

The only way I can be insured is by an employer under group coverage. I have been in the hospital about 4 or 5 times since last november and self pay insirance wouldnt touch me.

You or the hubby get a fulltime job a possibility? Then medical ins is only a step away for both.

I called the flathead county mental health and they told me they just didn't have the funds to help me, they couldn't even get me a dr. or a P. I had to find my own and pay for my own, that ontop of meds Holy Moly its expensive. So I have tried that but they wouldn't even see me.

Hubby and I both work full time jobs, but if he added me to his insurance than it would literally take his whole entire pay check, and his paycheck is important because he pays lot rent, trailor payment and electric, I pay for food, any dr. bills aquired and car insurance so my check is all gone anyways when you add P and meds to it.

Some collaegs have there own limited student health insurance. Is this one too smal for thaT? Do you qualify for state aid insurance?
this college requires that I have insurance, and I have to proove to them that I do have it. I don't think so because hubby and I both work and we own our trailor and a car so I think that totally disqualifies us. I have tried medicade, but when DD was a year old I made 50 dollars too much on one paycheck so they kicked me off. It wasn't even a normal paycheck, it was a fluke one. It was almost christmas and we had 3 waitresses and a host walk off shift so that required me to work extra hours and so because of that one time they booted me. So I don't think so, and then I was only working between 4-6 hours a day with 2 sometimes 3 days off.
