And so theres nothing notable about the Fed resisting that pressure.

I am pretty sure that every president throughout the 70s and all into the present day have wanted the Federal Reserve fiscal policy to help with the President's economic policies.

Well of course they all wanted the Fed to support their economic policies. There is a difference though, in wanting and exerting public pressure on the Fed.

Looking back, it appears LBJ and Nixon were the other Presidents who apply some pressure:

President Lyndon Johnson pushed Fed Chairman William McChesney Martin against a wall after Martin dared to raise the discount rate half a percentage point.

But the worst example is President Richard Nixon’s campaign to coerce “his” Fed chairman, Arthur Burns, into promulgating policy that guaranteed devastating inflation. Worst, because it worked — and demonstrated that this economically vital, supposedly apolitical agency is more vulnerable to presidential meddling than we’d like to believe.

We don’t have “undercover camera footage with interviews.” What we have, at least from what I saw hopping around the video in the OP, is footage that is HEAVILY edited, interspersed with OKeefe telling the viewer how to interpret it. Even by Okeefe standards, this one was diced up a lot.

Most folks that I know in Missouri do not believe that mankind is causing climate change.

Then you obviously haven’t been paying much attention to him.

Is it extreme to say that “anything” he says is a lie? Sure. But he has lied in his videos. A lot. And even when there haven’t been investigations uncovering those lies, his tactics are pretty easy to spot. He’s a liar who ought not be trusted.

I have been paying a lot of attention to his videos. And I still believe what the people in those undercover videos are saying about the places in which they are working. They don't know they are being taped. They believe that they are speaking truth to that undercover person.

But you aren’t hearing what they spoke. You’re hearing their words chopped up, selectively edited and presented in a way that jives with the narrative that Okeefe is literally spoon-feeding to you. In the sections I watched, there wasn’t a single piece of footage more than a couple seconds long.

In my experience, intellectually lazy people are easily manipulated by liars like O Keefe.
Far right wing folks are very susceptible to manipulation through Facebook, Twitter, and Fox News.
These folks are very myopic in their views, are short on common sense, and never bother to validate information beyond it’s original source.
