If someone has some form of report of what happens when a local body attempts to mix those two top priorities, Pentecostalism, and ''the bond of the unity of the Spirit'', I would greatly appreciate it!Seems, if the Lord's 'times of refreshing' doesn't land squarely in a discussion, gathering, or Church culture's lap, interest to repel is ultimately the norm. My opinion, spiritual folly of the hirelings.
Happening only once for me, locally. A vibrant as Pentecostal, AOG assembly as I could ever point to remember short of another denomination's massively intense procession of sing/dance/clap in profuse praise. But in this assembly rather, every single Sunday morning service, visited with tongues and interpretations. All the while, the Pastor also had an immense passion for the unity of the Spirit across denominational lines. I thought, I'm going to watch this assembly, and I stayed a while longer after this confirmation till resuming fellowship much closer to home. Well, the mix went south slowly. Soon, they departed with the AOG over financial requirements, then, slowly weened themselves of expressions of the Spirit so the un-affiliated can report ''very good teaching from the Bible!''.
During that Pastor's interdenominational times of fellowship, should his tending to the truths of the Apostle's tradition of the Spirit's help been held and insisted on much better? With the possibility of acquiring the reputation of being steadfast to the word rather than finding justification on how he could build a bigger interdenominational fellowship over the radio-show? The fault of shifting to a hireling to the truth doesn't seem that far from the case here to me.
