CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, they're really hungry. I feel so stupid for finding out literally 5 minutes after the shops had closed.
I just gave them a bit of canned tuna, I hope they won't get sick (they're not used to other food than their own). If this had happened any other week I could have gotten cat food in another town (where the shops don't close at 6 PM), but there are no buses after 6 PM either, and I don't drive, and my husband (who does drive) is in Rome (school trip).I feel really guilty. I'm too busy with other things apparently. This has never happened before.

ethical question: last semester I studied for my political science final for a grand total of 1 hour because I knew it all already. Some girl next to me went on about how she studied for hours and when I saw her at a bar during semester break she told me she had gotten a C. I got an easy A.

I have a question...
My mate just text me asking for some advice. He says he has the flu but is supposed to be going clubbing tonight. He's wondering whether it is a good idea to take cocaine.
My reply was "it's Tuesday night, you have the flu, and you still want to take cocaine?!?

I can't help but think i could have been more sympathetic. What would you have said that could have been less offensive?

I have no idea. I'm trying to deal with a somewhat similar situation and feel like I could be a tad more sympathetic myself...even though I often feel like it's destroying me.
But that's enough about me.

Well, it's really just that level of political science. It was introductory level American Politics. Other classes, alas, require more effort.only for one hour (after all, if making out is easy for you that's all the effort you can put into it obviously
