  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

GM, none of us can be completely innocent. In order for that to happen we would have to completely isolate ourselves from the world and all the people in it.

Yet I think we can build a guard around our heart. A guard which prevents anything not of Christ invading our heart.

And there are many things which would have us take our eyes off of Christ, and have us look into the abyss.

In all comes down to our focus. We focus on Christ. We focus on His Words. We focus on His Truth. We focus on His love for us. We focus on the Cross. We focus on our redemption. We focus on the blessed promises He has given us.

And THAT'S what makes us innocent. We live in His love. We live in His promises. We live in His Holy Sacrifice.

We live with a knowledge that we cannot know all things, yet we trust Him.

No, that's not what I'm saying.

The Bible is full of miracles and healings. Christians are supposed to have the authority to lay hands on people; to cast out demons... and yet very few Christians in the western world actually experince it. Have personally only witnessed one miracle. So am wondering what it is we're doing wrong, or missing.

Most Christians have the God-given authority, but not the faith, or the "innocence", because Christians are so invested in the world. By being so, hearts are hardened to God.

When the Lord called me back ten years ago He commanded me to read and learn. My life has changed dramatically because of it and I know that I am grounded in the Lord. Nothing that anyone can say will convince me otherwise. But I am not innocent. I am a sinner and, even though I don't live in sin, I do sin. Jesus did say that the kingdom of God belongs to those that have the faith of children but what that means is that we need to have a faith that believes in Him blindly and with all of our hearts. Children love with all of their hearts. There is no holding back the love of a child. I see it in my grandchildren now. So I love the Lord with all of my heart and put Him first in my life.
You know, we are in this world for just a little while. The mark that we leave in this world is strictly up to us. There is nothing in this world that we can take with us. When we die, and go to be with the Lord, all the material things that we owned are given away to family and friends. There is no victory in what we get in this world. The love that we give the Lord and humanity is what defines us. Jesus said that the greatest commandments are to love the Lord with all of your heart and to love thy neighbor. That is what innocence really is. It is love.:groupray:
