No. There has never been a claim that human beings evolved from monkeys. Not by scientists anyway. You creationists claim it all the time because you do not know the difference between "ape" and "monkey". A monkey IS an ape, just like a human being IS an ape. That's the classification. You don't like that though because you really, really want human beings to be something special, something unique. But we're not.
