  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

To fellow INFJ's out there... Do you guys feel a lot of peronsal responsibility / sadness when things go wrong, even when it really has nothing to do with you?

Yes - quite a lot, actually, and in various situations. I admit that it hasn't been so much lately, but it does seem to be the case in a lot of ways.

That's what I found out when I took the test at my college a year or so ago. What I find interesting is where it says who you would have the best chemistry with in marriage or friendships. Lol the bad part is I forget who I found out what type of people I would work with.
see post #19 on this thread.

(appparently I would be the worst match for you, and vise versa..... *holds up ring of garlic...staaaay away...:p ;) :D )

Yep I saw that right after I made that post. Only I don't see people with that certain type having that printed on their forehead. Also lol I doubt that girls I am interested in would take a quick survey so I can gauge if they are someone I would have chemistry with. LOL! But it would be funny "Hello perspective woman that I find attractive. Would you mind taking this personality test I wanna see how exactly we work together." LOL!

I just looked and my best match is a Estj. I found a site that says Rev. Billy Graham is a Estj. I don't know how accurate the web site is but its still interesting. :) http://www.typelogic.com/estj.html thats the web site if you wanna take a look. Or just go to google and type in any type and it will bring up lots of sites having to do with that type.

For one that's funny, but cuts right to the bone, see this: http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/18098.htm
ENFP and yes that's got me right there.... "* ENFP: God, help me to keep my mind on one th-Look a bird!-ing at a time." I used to be ENFJ "* ENFJ: God, help me to do only what I can and trust you for the rest. Do you mind putting that in Writing? " but I've changed.... yes it happens, not sure how common it is, but I went from ENFJ to ENFP....

Grrrr..I'm starting to hate being an introvert an starting to get so very annoyed by a lot of extroverts......grrrrrr
I'm an introvert, and I love that I get energy from being alone and doing things by myself. The problem comes when I'm trying to socialize, 'cause it doesn't come as naturally for me. Also, sometimes extraverts take over a conversation simply by their energy, and that can leave me feeling frustrated.

My beef is "external processors." Those are the people who say every thought that comes into their brains. Not all extraverts are external processors, but most of the external processors I've encountered have been extraverted. Honestly, I don't need to hear every thought in a person's brain. They sure wouldn't want to hear mine!

what is wrong with being an introvert?
was at a highschool play tonight that some girls from the youth group i am leader at, were in. a group of other leaders were there also. they are all extremely extroverted, very loud, and must always be the centre of attention sort of people, as most all of the leaders are. Afterwards, wow....they left together and I just totally felt bypassed .....it was awful. I dont think they even noticed...because they are always so busy making a ruckus that they dont seem to to notice anyone who is even slighly introverted.

its like i want to be extroverted but at the same time if it means i would be like these people, then i dont.

Some thoughts of quitting the youth group to not have to deal with these people fakeness anymore crossed my mind a few times on the way home.....ohhh satan would love that...but maybe i would too...

grrrr....i'll say no more

well not meaning to be the devil's advocate here, but are you receiving any fruit being in that type of situation time and time again?

no black and white answer to that...depends on exactly what you mean by that kind of situation.....

there are definately good thing about the youthgroup, most of the kids, the pastor and his wife are awesome and the leaders arent bad people but they are starting to get more and more into themselves it seems..

i was just asking because of the situation you brought up. :)

reminds me of how youth group was for me, or FCA at my highschool (Fellowship of Christian Atheletes which should have been called, Fellowship of Christian Anyone). i'm an introvert. the only people that saw me, was my friends, and one pastor that i still miss to this day. i was never the John the Baptist type of Christian. i never spoke too loud at events. most of the time at youth events, i was either in the sanctuary because i loved the peace in the sanctuary or playing the piano even tho i didn't know how to or playing hackey sack with the freaks and hanging out with rough kids.

all i can say is, i'm glad i'm out of it. it was a spiritual growth block. i'm an introvert, but maybe more now a balanced introvert (if there is such a thing :) ) and i will not change for anyone, or any church to say the least, because it's impossible for me to change this one.

I had a situation this week where I was called into a meeting "to sort things out". I knew that they wanted a meeting because they felt they didn't want me "unhappy", but never realised that they would actually go through with the thing. (So when it happened the other person had had a week to prepare their long speech - bullets and all, and if allowed I at best could only defend myself on my feet - for an INFJ I am sure you will realise it should be the other way round).

The person who then gave me words went on for ages. I asked if I was not allowed to defend myself, but got no reply. It was very much a "power" thing, and when it was finished I felt like someone had taken out my soul and dropped it in the dustbin.

The very reason I don't like confrontation meetings, is because I know I will always lose.

The end result is me being even unhappier. (But the Lord has given me a peace, and also was merciful in that for the first time I now work with another INFJ, and as a result get on like a house on fire - and he got the blast first. That makes it not so bad - at least now we can prepare our defence for future.)

Wow, that's really rough, BoazB! I would be seething. I can't stand people exerting power in a negative way and of late I have been lashing back. (This after a lifetime of taking it in because I couldn't think on my feet....)

Say, do others IN's feel that sometimes people don't believe you when you offer a suggestion or solution? As an intuitive person, I often see the big picture without logging in all the details. (Sensing people tend to be detail oriented or more "concrete" in their thinking.) I, of course, think my idea makes perfect sense, but I can tell that unless I explain it step by step (if I can) to non-intuitives, they just think I'm crazy.

Just wondering. :)

Oh, totally. People look at me like I'm crazy when I can't explain what I mean. Which just makes me nervous and even more inarticulate.
