And no, you just complained that all your friends left and then blamed everyone else. Hardly quiet. At the same time you were trying to drive out certain ones and compel the mods to treat them as non-SDA.

You also said you're almost out the Adventist door, so I guess if I wanted to be petty like you're being, I'd express some rebellion in you voting here too.

I am being petty? You railed on Night for an old goodbye post that he only posted because you questioned him in the first place.

And me saying something is being petty?

Here we go again on the out the door. I said I am deciding on a doctrine, yes. I said I may have to leave the pastorate yes. I never said whether I would leave the Adventist church, but said I would figure that out later. I may have to yes.

But you were trying to push out people who NEVER said they were leaving or even hinted at it.

And that is not petty?

No we can't move on when the inquisitions continue.

Tall, you guys keep posting these big goodbye threads and then you never leave.

I've seen several people do it, and it gets really old.

Maybe we should have a rule about it actually, because I see that rule on other forums. "NO DRAMATIC "I QUIT" THREADS."

It doesn't matter. I'm glad you stayed.

I hope Night stays and I hope Jonathan stays too.

That is not the same thing, nor did I ever say that.

I have asked for someone to help me resolve my theological issues. That is not almost out the door or I would just go. I have written to folks off this site, talked to folks on this site, talked to a pastor friend in real life , and have read all the material I can, and will continue to do so until all avenues are exhausted. That is not almost out the door. That is trying to stay in.

But again, you want me to go. You haven't tried to help. You worked the mods to try and get rid of Statrei, and stormy and I certainly know you don't want me or my wife here.

Just Kidding, we really aren't so bad if you ignore 2/3's of what is written here.

As with any electronic forum you learn who has things of value to say an who does not. Hopefully you will enjoy the learning process though I know at times it is painful. And sometimes just as they taught us in grade school we have to "duck and cover".

For the record, I have said goodbye twice. The first was not a definitive goodbye, merely a time out. I came back with the full intention of giving this forum another chance, but it was clear that certain things were never going to change. So, hence, the second one, which is the one I linked to. This one is actually my original goodbye post, expanded, edited, and more detailed. The second one has been deleted, as the mods did a censorship hatchet job on it until it longer truly represented my reasons for leaving. I have stood by this second one and have not been back in almost two months to dialogue here. It was also meant as a common courtesy to the friends I made here so they wouldn't wonder why I just disappeared without a word. I have only briefly made an appearance twice since then to correct certain misleading and incorrect accusations made about me in my absence.

As for my goodbye post, certain things needed to be said publicly on this forum and I stand by them still. Rather than write it off as merely a dramatic exit, why not see if there may perhaps be some validity or merit in some of my observations?

I suppose that would just make too much sense though.

In forums I frequent, there are generally 1-3 goodbye posts per week. Most of them do come back (more so then this forum, that is for sure).

I don't really see what th big deal is.

Wait. Tall thought/is thinking about leaving??? This totally skipped by me.

I really hope you can find the answers to the doctrine you're questioning, Tall. It'd be sad to lose you. You were one of the first people I met here.

I doubt I'd be able to help much..because I'm still so new of a Christian, but I must admit I'm curious as to what it is you're questioning. Of course, this isn't the place to address that. If you ever felt like it, I wouldn't mind hearing about it in PM. Maybe I know someone who might be good to discuss it you with.

Yes, it isn't OK and immoral to speak factual things against the issues pertaining to 3ABN, but it is OK and not immoral to make assumptions against members of CF.

Seriously, on the good side, and least these people show their true colors and don't put up a big front. I also am amazed at how shabbily some folks treat those who are supposed to be brothers and sisters in Christ.

This thread demonstrates quite well why I don't believe this group has any hope of self-moderation. Paranoia runs wild here while kindness and brotherly love cower in a corner. And the devil does a happy little dance.

There are people here who are worth the trouble. Country Doc and Reddogs come to mind. I still remember that beautiful post about the goats, Red. Maybe we just have a bunch of people here who need to be scratched on the top of their heads.

Did someone say something about herding cats? That is a pretty good analogy.
