  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is there a particular prayer or saint that intercedes for those unable to conceive a child? TIA

Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos has the Cincture of the Theotokos. They put cords in the cincture's reliquary, and upon request, will send a cord to a woman who suffers from infertility so she can wear it around her waist. Many women have successfully conceived and borne children through the grace of God through this relic.

We still have a bit of cotton that was dipped in the lamp there. It was sent to my wife and me by Orthosdoxa (thanks again!) and by its use, the prayers of St. Anna, and God's grace we have our son. Following 5 miscarriages over 9 years, we were getting disheartened.

St Irene Chrysovalontou without a doubt. I personally know of one case where her intercessions miraculousy allowed a woman to concieve after years of doctors telling her she was sterile. I also know one girl from Delaware named Chrysovolontou, she was given slim to no chance of surviving when she was born, but her father prayed fervently to the saint and vowed if his daughter survived he would name her Chrysovolontou, so it was.
