  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

have you read "taking charge of your fertility"? its a great book that helps you learn to chart your periods and know your body and when it ovulates. My views on fertility drugs and things is that God gave us a brain and free will. I think using the tool that God gave us is great.
best wishes to you.

I don't have any advice to offer, but I do have a wonderful testimony from my cousin.

She and her husband have been trying for a couple of years to have a baby with no luck. She had prayed and prayed about it, and yesterday, she went to her first appointment with a fertility specialist. During her exam, they took a urine sample and did a pregnancy test. Guess what?? She found out she's pregnant!!! God is good, and He has a plan. Keep faith that God is listening to your prayers for a child. And believe that all will happen just as He means for it to.

Good luck during your appointment.

3 times every martial My wife also found "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" really useful when we were trying to conceive. Look the book up on amazon.com; there are plenty of positive reviews there!

Let us know how you get on with your doctor... ours was worried about my wife's irregular ovulation, and we ended conceiving first time round using a drug called Clomid which forces ovulation to happen/happen at a certain time.

I remember how frustrating and upsetting a time trying to conceive is though. Get good medical advice but above all trust in God and tell him you'll accept His will for when and if your family will begin. Don't let your frustration start to become a barrier to your relationship with Him or with each other.

I can't give you an opinion on fertility because I am uncertain how I feel about it. Also, keep in mind my point of view comes from someone with no fertility issues.

However, I too have a success story. My sister gave birth to a beautiful girl in 1992. Unfortunately, my niece was very sick (but thank the Lord) survived without any medical problems. Due to the percentage of this happening again, my sister elected to have her tubes tied. 10 years later, with the advancement of technology and the significant decrease in any further pregnancy problems or birth problems, my sister decided to seek a fertility DR. She did IVF and now has another beautiful little girl. Who just happens to be 5 days older than my son!!!

Good luck!!

Thank You all for the input I willbe lookign for that book. I was very pleased with my doctor appointment yesterday. They first want me to take a diabeties test to see if that is casueing me not to ovulate. Then but me on prenatel vitiams and a pill to induce ovulation so that after we get the results from my labs then I should by then have had my period adn then she said we can start on me keeping it regular till we get pg. She told me that she doesn't see it being a problem with us concieving but if we do then she wants to test my husband before haveign us spend a lot of money that isn't needed. So right there I feel comfortable with her. And I have freinds who went to her to so she is a good doctor. I am hopign that all goes well. And yes I have been prayign to God about this all the time. He answered my prayer when my husband said he was ready to be a daddy adn that he want sme to go in so. I was very happy. Thank You all so much and I will try to keep you all updated. Oh yeah she also mention clomid to me too sayign that that might be what we have to use. So any information on it please let me know.

I have first hand experience with primary, secondary infertility as well as pregnancy loss. I am also the leader of an infertility support group at my church. Feel free to email me or private message me if you need to.

My Story:

My husband and I dealt with infertility for 4 years prior to the God given blessing of my son. We were on fertility meds (clomid 3 rounds) and conceived.

Then when my son was 1 we were ready to try for our second child. We went on 5 rounds of clomid and became pregnant. We loss our baby fairly early but it was still painful. Then we try 2 more rounds of clomid with no luck. On to a new drug called Letrozole. This to me was far better than clomid. On the first round we bcame pregnant with my daughter. She is 8 weeks old now. We named her Lana Grace which means Beautiful Grace.

The Lord works miracles through natural means and through the doctors that work with infertility patience. I think that all needs to be done prayerfully and you will know the will of the Father!

I had/have probs with fertility. My hubby and i tried for 5 years to conceive with no luck,we went on i dont know how many cycles of clomid, it didnt work. A couple of years later we decided to build our own house and we had just moved in when a couple of months later i got pregnant(although i didnt realise until i was 17 weeks gone). Needless to say we were rapt. I still pray for another baby but if it doesnt happen at least i have my son.
