I was recently taking part in my favorite past time, and I got sick the next day. My parents said it was from cutting. I've done it a lot, but i've never been infected before. I slept for almost a day and a half. I put some cream on it, and drank/consumed all these things to help my immune system. I mean..I feel better now, but I still find it odd. I've never been infected performing SI before, I was wondering how likely this type of thing is?

it is pretty common, savlon is always good to minimise teh risks of getting infections! I've had plenty of infections, I don't know how common it is to get bad infections, but the little ones that go away are pretty common I think!

I've been lucky, never gotten infected...then again, I haven't done it all that much lately. If I'm allowed to ask this (and I'm new, so if I'm not I apologize, just tell me and I will edit it if I can figure out how) what steps do you take afterward to keep them clean? Like, after I always wash the injuries with soap and water, then I wash them and the tool with rubbing alcohol. I dunno, it's worked so far.
