Funny how when people file their taxes they always include any infants in the household. But what do I knowHard to say that considering there were household baptisms.

Before i invest a good amount of time into a study...what do these verses mean to you?Scripture says that baptism saves. You can verify that by reading Peter's letters. "Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ," (I Peter 3:21)
Scripture says that people can reject the gospel after baptism. "For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned. " (Hebrews 6:4-8)
Scripture says that baptism regenerates. "he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:5-7)
When scripture mentions whole households being baptized conveniently those against infant baptism don’t think it includes infants but when it comes to tax time all of a sudden they do include infants in their count. Seems there are biases and motivations at hand in their calculations.???
Not sure what your point is.
Do you perhaps have me confused with someone else Tiggy? I support infant baptism. When scripture mentions whole households being baptized conveniently those against infant baptism don’t think it includes infants but when it comes to tax time all of a sudden they do include infants in their count. Seems there are biases and motivations at hand in their calculations.
The mean what they say. Before i invest a good amount of time into a study...what do these verses mean to you?
Your acting as ifYou wouldn't expect an evangelist to make children his main targets, especially when the whole world was then being presented with a new religion. No, if it were you, you would go first to adults, but that doesn't mean children were excluded from baptism. We have evidence in scripture that children of those adults you were thinking of were baptized .

There's a cultural divide between the way the old cultures read the bible, and how the bible has been read since western rationalism took the helm.Hi Family,
Can you please explain to me the logic and reasoning behind infant baptism?
~Natsumi Lam~
When it died.. he cleaned himself up and celebrated... why???
Absolutely.... If Judas had of took some time to clear his head and stop.... it would have been totally possible for him to repent and be saved.... Just like Peter.. who denied three times.... and Saul who tortured Christians.. renamed Paul and wrote some of the bible.
You know for sure 100% the households had infants?
But as we know via scripture all true believers are to be of one mind ie only one view point in correct the other needs done away with as we are to walk in truthThere's a cultural divide between the way the old cultures read the bible, and how the bible has been read since western rationalism took the helm.
Would it not be better yet to take it for what it says and not impose our own human ideas? You know for sure that they didn't? Is it not wiser to presume that at least some of the households did. They normatively would have. Such was the style of life back then.
Via scripture all believers get confused and disagree about everything, it's good evidence that scripture and tradition has replaced the original role of the Holy Spirit. But as we know via scripture all true believers are to be of one mind ie only one view point in correct the other needs done away with as we are to walk in truth

For if it truly was important would they not of wrote of it wouldn't Paul of told us baptize infant sYou know for sure that they didn't? Is it not wiser to presume that at least some of the households did. They normatively would have. Such was the style of life back then.
I wonder where all those seminaries came from?Yeah... I'm not that sure how much the millions of Christians over here in Asia buy into western rationalism.
if we walk in truth we seek to know if we error because a true believer upon finding themselves in error repents and turns to truth the issue today is everyone forgot how the one mind is criticalVia scripture all believers get confused and disagree about everything, it's good evidence that scripture and tradition has replaced the original role of the Holy Spirit.
A one church with one teaching situation cannot be compared to a situation with multiple denominations with many many opinions on how to teach.if we walk in truth we seek to know if we error because a true believer upon finding themselves in error repents and turns to truth the issue today is everyone forgot how the one mind is critical
How can we preach if we don't even agree amongst ourselves
Read Paul's writings see how Peter was treated when he errored on circumcision and what Peter did upon seeing the truth
