I remember hearing about this and thinking, all those many decades where she spoke of peace and non-violence and committed to being a wandering pilgrim. Teaching peace and vowing to walk around all parts of the world until peace was achieved. And now she has died in a violent car wreck.
How tragically ironic.

If you've never heard of Peace Pilgrim now is your chance. She's passed away now. Victim of a violent car crash wherein she was being driven to a speaking engagement when the car was impacted. The drivers survived, Peace Pilgrim did not.
