  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello everyone!! I was wondering, my husband and I were discussing this the other day. Do you think you as a parent would be interested in the idea of the following if it was available locally, or if you have one, please share the details!! We were talking about starting an indoor playground center, charging a small dollar or two dollar fee to get in, for as long as you want to stay, allow parents to bring lunches and snacks in etc, and not force them to buy concessions, but still offer it. I thought it would be something that would really be used around here because we live in IL and its sooo cold in the winters, actually schools are closed today because its soo cold LOL but my husband thinks it wouldnt be that good of an idea, just thought i would see what all you parents out there think. thanks!!

We've got one in our town: http://www.dinoplayground.com/

It's always packed!! I took Andie there in the beginning, when it first opened, but it's too crowded.

My only suggestion would be to keep track somehow of how many guests you have, NOT to let it get too crowded. This place lets you pay one price and play all day. Maybe a better idea would be to charge one price for a couple hours of play time.

Like, you could do times from 9-11, noon-2, 3-5 or something like that.

Great idea!!

We go to them now and if you want to make extra money, have drop in childcare. Parents love to drop off their children while they go shopping. We have that here and having been a single mom for the last year, I make use of it...what a Godsend it is :)
