CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well theres alot of talk about armpits of the universe and corn... well we do have armpits up here in Griffith *due west of Gary just east of IL* but we sure do not have Corn! We have smog tho. Yep lots and lots of smog *cough cough*

Used to go to the Time Trials every year.
Lived in Plymouth for a bit.
Grew up in South Bend
Grandparents (dad's side) had their farm in Rochester
Grandparents (mom's side) had their farm in Logansport
Uncles in Indy and Peru
Great grandmother lived in Bremen, been there many times.
I am still an IU basketball fan and Irish football fan

Oh yeah, we used to go camping in Brown County every other year.
Anyone heard of Potato Creek State park, near South Bend? Our church would have outings down there.

I took a look at the website for Potato Creek park. They seem to have done quite a bit of work expanding things there since I was there last, many years ago.

Newbie here, Indiana boy, near B-Town, born and raised, and I am about to say something very taboo, but try to not hold it against me:
I hold no interest whatsoever in a)Basketball; b)sports in general; c)the Indy 500. I hated corn until the ripe ol age of 23, lol.
But I'm as much a Hoosier as they come. Nice to see you all in here!!!

Hey guys n' gals! So great to have an Indiana thread! I live in the lakes area in northern indiana(north webster) but earlier this year lived in Muncie(spent a ton of time at Ball State with my lil sis) and got to know a lot of people there as well as Anderson and Indy ppl. ~~I am very familiar with corn. It emcompasses 2 sides of my house!
