True, the last days are here : people are falling away from the true Word of God and giving in to other new age politically correct bibles, which are doctrines of devils, and their excuse is these new bibles are easier to understand, (itching ears?)

Remember, Jesus is the Word of God who became flesh.
Transliterators, keep in mind, when you try to change the Word of God, you try to change Jesus, who is Lord of lords and changes not.
Below are profound biblical scriptures that testify of that truth :

"I and my Father are one." John 10:30

"For I am the LORD, I change not..." Malachi 3:6

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1: 1-5;9-14

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
II Thessalonians 2:1-12

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying." Romans 11:12,13

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" I Timothy 4:1,2

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." II Timothy 3:1-5,

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” II Timothy 4:2-4

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." I Corinthians 2:13-15

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:24

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Revelations 2:

"And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem." Daniel 9:12

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." John 12:48

"For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ." 2 Corinthians 2:17

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." 1 Peter 1:23

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18,19

Anyone else out there local or close to Georgia?
Atlanta, here!

I attend the Church on Main Street. We are an independent Baptist church (not affiliated with the SBC) but not what I would consider a fundamental church, even though my personal beliefs are fundamental in nature. I read both the NIV and KJV. Both are wonderful translations, although I could do without alot of the study notes in the side columns of my NIV. I like to read the Scriptures for myself, not being influenced by another person's opinions of what those passages mean.

Hmmm...

I heard a pastor once call the NIV a N-I-V-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E aka the Mickey Mouse Bible... Im not sure as to why though...

Has any other fundimentalist here heard that before ?

Could it be the fact that the NIV has 64,576 total words missing ?

Which brings us to the NKJV, it has 2,289 words missing just in the New Testament alone.

With no standards there is no need for a spiritual book so they seek for a book that is not spiritual... if one has spirituality missing in their life they usually get Bible like that.

Where have all the fundimentalist KJV bible believers gone ?

:prayer:

Good Day, Brother_Joey

So, all that in this post shows this?

I have yet to find a passage that refers to a King calling toghter in 1600's, people who were Calvinist mostly and a Roman Catholic to render an english version of the Scriptures and published by the Royal press and Authorized by a secular form of govenment.
Very novel way of reading Scripture, how does that post answer the question, please expound.

Peace to u,

Bill

Good Day,

If this "red-Herring" held any vaule one would have to wonder why the diffence between the Bishops Bible and the KJV seeing the KJV is based on the Bishops, never mind the Geneva Bible that was used as the Standard before the KJV. That is a whole other issue, none the less let us be consistant.

You assume that one has to be a KJVO to be fundemental, and that all KJVO are.

Peace to u,

Where is this "...which we believe through conviction of the scriptures to be the True Inspired Infailable Word of the Living God for the English speaking people." in the KJV book , chapter, verse.
The key phrase in my previous post is "through conviction".

It is simple, I shall answer all that with some profound verse of scriptures :

"What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged." Romans 3 : 1 - 4

Read all of Acts chapter 26 as well.

I wish I had an answer. I believe that we are getting close. I believe that the Body of Believers will be spared the Tribulation, that we will be taken up to Glory before then. Unfortunately, I haven't study Revelation enough to comment any more on the end times than I have. *embarassed*

You are right that is a key phase that you used in your own conviction. Seeing I am a firm beliver in Sola Scriptura to povide a basis for my learning and the authority to convict me. I see no where in Scripture that would bind me to a 16 th century king and his actions with in an secular government.

But, if for some reason out side of Scripture you feel bound so be it and it is done in Faith then who am I to judge as mine is based on the Word of God alone though Faith.

there is no such thing as KJVOism in fundamentalism, KJVOism that is aside from fundamentalism, though almost all independent fundy Baptists I have met where KJVOists,
