I think I'm in a rare crowd that will wait for marriage before moving out. But I wanna be ready! I'm learning to drive. (Kinda close to being able to do it on my own) I am learning to do things so I can mature in those ways and be ready. My siblings and I are all adults now and still with our parents. Just waiting on God's timing.

I feel like I can relate to your posts in a lot of ways.

I share an apartment with my mom. My mom told me she loves having me here, and doesn't truly want me to leave, but that a part of her is telling me I need to live on my own again, to get a greater sense of responsibility.

A lot of cultures have a house full of people - over several generations. If you think about it, it is the best thing to do if everyone is fine with it.

I think your mom doesn't want you to feel like you "forced" to stay with her because you are a good child, and may stay with her for reasons we don't know (like providing company security, an exchange of genuine help, etc.) I don't think if you were a terrible child that your mom would want you there at all. But, she enjoys you being there.

I should probably also mention that she is the type of person who, when she tells you to do something, she will help you do it. Like loaning me money for a Deposit on my own apartment, for example.

That sounds hurtful. Humans can be hurtful, but we are humans. I have said some hurtful things to my parents that I thoroughly regret to date even though it is water under the bridge. And, I have said some hurtful things to people in the past - who may or may not still be hurting from that. Sometimes we really horrible to each other.

But, I am not excusing what was said at all...

Well, maybe I am a rare breed, but I told myself that I don't ever want to get married or ever have any kinds. I am liking the single lifestyle too much. And also, I am not attracted to men very much.

There is someone out there for everyone who God wills to be married. And if you were not meant to be married, then you would be able to handle it and be joyful serving God. I personally believe God wills for me to be married in the future. He won't will for us to be miserable. If it's what you need, you will receive it with patience and prayer. Keep focused on God and wait for the right person.

Yeah, I'm definitely preparing. I feel much more prepared than a lot of others my age. I want to keep maturing and gain wisdom from God's word!
