  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As a follow up to the repeat customers thread, the proposed ammendments to the UK provision of abortion to include independant advice have been challenged by the abortion zealots.

A Guardian newspaper writer couldnt see the claim that the abortion providers did not have a vested interest. How can anm organisation providing abortion and getting revenue from it not have a vested interest in providing abortion.
Seems to be outside reality again. Whilst they might be providing unbiased advice they still have a vested interest by definition.

Whether they are providing unbiased advise is also possible but very questionable as the following must better article reviews..
Abortion charities could be misleading public - Telegraph
ie 'could be'

The country needs to be very concerned about this, folllowing the resistance of these organisations to have statistics published and accusations of 'vengence' against those seeking a better way, ignore the accusations of the liberal abortion fundamenatalists and lets get the best way forward.

Interestingly there is independant advice in Germany where there are half the abortions..
Christian Medical Comment: Germany has independent abortion counseling and an abortion rate less than half of Britain’s

If it was an independent medical clinic, yes that's fine. But if it's a "clinic" run by religious anti-choice zealots, then no, because they are often full of misinformation, don't have an actual doctor in the place, and are not an independent medical clinic. Anyone can use the title clinic...but they are hardly medical in nature.

If its an organisation that is not providing the abortion then in that respect it is independant and that is the respect of the bill.

Personally if it is run by what you call religious anti-choice zealots thats a big improvement to the current situation which is being supproted by pro-killing secular liberal zealots.

If these clinics are run by "pro-life" people, then the advice given cannot be said to be unbiased.

Would they be unbiased if run by a) anti-life people b) pro-abortion people c)"pro-choice" people d) anti-abortion people or e) anti-choice people? And state why they would be or not be unbiased.

on that basis, good, as long as the bias isnt pro-choice.
No, you have not read the discussion properly, there is a priniciple in service provision in the UK that the service provider doesnt also give advice. In the case of the abortion providers they do. This is the change that what is being proposed.
