Even... Betty Page?

I'm not one to publicly comment on people's attractiveness, but seeing as she was a model I guess she kind of invites it...there are few women that I think are or were less attractive than Betty Page.

She took lemons and made lemonade. Not sure if any of you are familiar with her life.

I have a passing familiarity with her story.

She made pioneering pornography, not lemonade. That's not nothing, and I recognize her as a true survivor who played the cards she was dealt the best she could. I just don't find her attractive. Clearly, I'm in left field on this as most people adore her.

It is not so much her attractiveness but her style and personality. And how she took what she had and made it into something people wanted. I'm not into porn but I do admire some of the ladies of the past. Burlesque? I'm a HUGE fan. Vintage lady wrestlers, roller derby... *sigh*

So in another thread LivingWordUnity complained that people in this thread are defending pornography. Maybe some people are. I will defend pornography from lies about pornography, as it is not okay to lie about something just because it is a bad thing. I won't defend pornography itself, which is objectively sinful. Of course, that doesn't mean that everyone who views or makes porn has the stain of sin on their conscience, but it is still an objective evil. It may be harmful to human relationships in some cases and not in others, but that doesn't change the fact that is is wrong. Just in case anyone was confused as to my position. I don't see how anyone might have been but, you know, for clarity.

Hmmm ... guess I'll have to go find that thread because I'm guessing that I'm one of the people LWU is complaining about.

Like @MikeK I'm not defending pornography. Each person needs to develop their own conviction through prayerful study of the Bible. Also like @MikeK I'm fighting the lies, half-truths and unsubstantiated truths that have been spouted here and elsewhere for decades.
