I did want to tell my Traditional brothers and sisters that I really have learned a lot from you, and I appreciate the fellowship very much.

This isn't a Progressive vs Traditional battle...life is a much bigger picture than that and I hope none of us are taking our eyes off the ball.

Hi Trust and welcome back from your trip.

I agree--this 'battle' between the PSDA's and TSDA's IS more than just the differences of opinions. I truely believe that what we are witnessing with all the harsh attacks from the P's is a fulfillment of what EW said would happen.

I find it interesting that the very ones who scoff at her writing's as being 'spurious' are in fact the very ones she wrote about. She told us they would do exactly what they are doing!

It also saddens me that this kind of rift has to be played out for all the world to see. The Adventist church has had to struggle just to get God's message out to this end time generation. The attacks of the evil one and his advocates are ever at the ready to try to thwart the efforts of those who would take this message to the lost. Just as in the days of the apostles-opposition to the truth was fierce. And if you notice, it was those in error who were the ones who did the attacking of those who had the truth. And so it is now.

But God's hand is on the wheel--and He will continue to steer this ship into His safe harbor--just as he has since 1844!

I completely agree! I don't know what I'd do without the support I get from you guys here, especially when I can't interact with my church family very much at all. You guys are all a blessing!

It's sad that there's any battle going on between 'anyone' who is a follower of Jesus in the first place, let alone a division within the same church. I know a lot of traditionals wouldn't agree with the music and such that is played at my church, yet it is the most amazing place to be. I've never met such loving and supportive people. The atmosphere is great, regardless of those little differences.

Sure, I would consider myself a traditional (although I'm still not sure about EGW..but I put that down to lack of experience in her area of writing..and a developed skeptism of anything 'channeled', so to speak). But I'd never let that get in the way of sharing His wonderful blessings with someone of a different view. Life's too short to argue and fight. We can share, but if it's gonna get no where then what's the point?
